Question: What is the Volunteer Fee and how can I get it refunded?
Answer:  You must complete 6 hours of volunteerism per player during the season to get the $100 refunded.

Floresta Baseball League strives to make our programs affordable so it was a difficult decision to include a volunteer fee.  It is not our intention to make money on this.  We would rather have all involved and volunteer where needed.  To keep Floresta Baseball going we need parents, friends, and other community members to step up and get involved. 

There are plenty of opportunities to fulfill this obligation, from helping with clean up days to helping your child's team at practice or game day to taking a board position. Positions that will automatically fulfill the Volunteer requirement are the following positions: All board positions, Managers/Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches, and Team Parent.

Payment Plan

We offer a payment plan, splitting the cost into two payments if you register by January 15th.  Payment plans must be done with a credit card.  If you choose the check payment option, we will contact you to to put a credit card on file.  Payment plan due dates are as follows:

  1. The first payment will be due at time of registration. 
  2. The final payment will be due a week before registration closes

TWO IMPORTANT NOTES:
1. 
A Sports Connect fee of $3 will be assessed to each payment.
2. 
Failure to pay all fees by the time registration closes, could result in the cancellation of your child’s registration.

Fees Explained

REGISTRATION FEES

Division Fees: $170-$195
Fees include a jersey and hat, with the player's name and number on the jersey, and name on the hat.  It also includes your player's contribution toward a raffle gift and 10 raffle tickets toward our Opening Day Raffle. Fees also go toward the operation of Floresta Baseball League, which may include field maintenance, equipment repairs or purchases, umpires, event productions, publicity, liability insurance, and other ongoing costs. 

Volunteer Fee (potentially refunded): $100

Service Fee: $3
This fee is per order.  This fee is charged by Sports Connect, our website and registration provider.  It is added to the final total at the end of the registration process.  It's advisable to register all participants at the same time, so as to incur this fee only once.

Discounts Explained

Early Bird Discount: $20
Receive a $20 discount per player, if you register during the Early Bird Discount period; usually the first month of registration.

Sibling Discount: $10
Receive $10 off for each sibling

Promotional Coupon Discount: Amount varies
This varies in price.  There will be a code you can enter during the check out process and receive the advertised discount.








Floresta Refund Policy

All funds paid to or collected by the League are non-refundable in each instance except as otherwise stated in this Policy. Refunds of registration fees will be considered by the Board of Directors on a case by case basis in accordance with the following:

  1. Each request for a refund must be made in writing to the Board of Directors. The written request must include the reason why the affected player does not intend to participate in Floresta Baseball League. The decision to play in another baseball league is not a valid reason. No refunds will be considered or processed unless and until the BOD has received an appropriate written refund request.
  2. After the Board of Directors has received and reviewed an appropriate written request, registration fee refunds will be processed as follows:
    1. If the written request is received prior to placing them on a team, 100% of the registration fee (less a $10 administrative fee) will be refunded.
    2. If the written request is received after the child has already been placed on a team but prior to the date of the first scheduled game, 50% of the registration fee (less a $10 administrative fee) will be refunded.
    3. No registration fee requests will be considered or processed after the first scheduled game date.
