Volunteer Training & Safety Requirements

To ensure the highest quality experience for players and families, Floresta Baseball League has the following volunteer requirements for coaches, assistant coaches, and team parents:

1. Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) Training — Annual Requirement

All head coaches and assistant coaches are required to complete annual training through the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA).
PCA training is a proven program that emphasizes:

  • Positive reinforcement
  • Character development
  • Sportsmanship
  • Effective communication

This training must be completed each year prior to the start of the season, even if you have previously served as a coach in past years.

2. Background Checks & Fingerprinting

To promote player safety and protect our youth participants:

  • All head coaches
  • All assistant coaches
  • All team parents (those assisting teams)

are required to complete Live Scan fingerprinting and pass a background check prior to volunteering.

These screenings are processed before the season and must be completed every year.

Floresta Baseball League takes these measures to ensure a safe, supportive environment for all players.
