Floresta Baseball League operates a spring season running from the end of February to the middle of June. We typically enroll approximately 300 kids from across the San Leandro, San Lorenzo, Hayward, Castro Valley, Oakland areas. With no residency requirements we can accept players from any town or city.

Our organization does not use a draft. Instead, we encourage family, friends, neighbors, schoolmates, and previous teammates to play together on a team. We make every effort to fulfill buddy requests. We value the opportunity for players to play together year after year. So if your child wants to play with their cousin from a different town; we can do that. If your child has six other classmates who all want to play together; we've done this too.

Floresta Baseball has 5 Divisions: (League age is age as of April 1st*)

T-Ball: Ages 4-6*. 1st half of season hit off a tee; 2nd half coach pitch.
A: Ages 6-7. Coach Pitch. 46/60 field.
AA: Ages 7-8. Machine Pitch. 46/60 field.
AAA: Ages 9-11. Kid Pitch. 46/60 field
Majors: 11-14(8th grade only). Kid Pitch (Full baseball rules). 52/70 field.

"League age" is the age a player is considered during the season. "League age" is determined by the age of a player on April 1st*. See the following chart:

* Players turning 4 after April 1st and during the season of play, may register during one of our walk-in registration events only. You must talk with one of our representatives, who will determine the child's readiness. 

** 11 year olds can play in either AAA or Majors. They must attend a mandatory skills assessment. For more information visit our Registration Information Page.

*** 14 year olds must be in 8th grade. No high school players.
