Divisions

T-Ball Division

T-Ball is an instructional division for players ages 4-6. Player must be age 4 by April 1st the year of our most current season. A tee will be used for the first half of the season. The Second half of the season will be coach pitch. The primary goals of Tee Ball are to instruct children in the fundamentals of baseball, to allow them to experience the value of teamwork and give them the opportunity to play baseball with their friends. No scores or league standings are maintained.

A Division

The A division is an instructional division for players ages 6-7 years old. Players hit from a coach pitched ball through the season. The primary goal of A is teaching the game of baseball through a non-competitive fun season where players learn the fundamentals and play with their friends. Outs are introduced, but no scores or standings are maintained. 

AA Division

The AA division is an instructional, yet competitive division for players ages 7-8 years old. Players hit from a machine pitched ball through the season. The primary goals of AA are to further instruct children in the fundamentals of baseball, to allow them to experience the value of teamwork and give them the opportunity to play baseball with their friends. Scores and Standings will be kept, with a Tournament of Champions at the end of season. The pitching machine is set at 46 feet, and operates at 42mph. The distance between bases is 60 feet. Stealing is not allowed, nor is leading off.

AAA Division

The AAA division is an instructional, yet competitive division for players ages 9-11. This is our first kid pitch division. Players will face live pitching from opposing players. The primary goals of AAA are to further instruct players in the fundamentals of baseball, to allow them to experience the value of teamwork and give them the opportunity to play baseball with their friends. Scores and Standings will be kept, with a Tournament of Champions at the end of season. The pitching distance is 46 feet, while the bases are 60 feet apart. Stealing is allowed, however, leading off is not. Players aged 11 are required to attend a skills assessment session to determine their placement in either our AAA division or Majors division. 

Majors Division

The Majors division is a competitive division for players ages 11-12. This division uses all the rules of Major League Baseball. The primary goals are to further the players baseball knowledge, promote good sportsmanship and teamwork, and provide players with a true baseball game experience. Scores and Standings will be kept.  The pitching distance is 52 feet, while the bases are 70 feet apart. 

Note: this division is an inter-league division.  Teams may travel to other leagues in Castro Valley, Hayward,  San Lorenzo, and San Leandro. 

Senior Division

The Senior division is a competitive division for players ages 13-16. This division uses all the rules of Major League Baseball. The primary goals are to further the players baseball knowledge, promote good sportsmanship and teamwork, and provide players with a true baseball game experience. Scores and Standings will be kept.  The pitching distance is 60 feet, while the bases are 90 feet apart. Metal Cleats allowed.

Note: this division is an inter-league division.  Teams may travel to other leagues in Castro Valley, Hayward,  San Lorenzo, and San Leandro.
